The 2026 Washington State Wage & Equipment Rate Guide (effective June 1, 2026) is the official document determining compensation for emergency responders, apparatus, and equipment mobilized under the Washington State Fire Chiefs (WFC) and the Department of Natural Resources (DNR).The guide provides a standard framework of rules and rates for interagency and local mutual aid.

As the key guiding document for the Washington Fire Chiefs, the Bylaws set forth how business is conducted in the association. This document was last updated in May of 2026.

This policy manual can be updated by the Board Of Directors, and directs how the association does business in accordance with the Bylaws. Last major updated occurred in 2013.

This policy manual can be updated by the Executive Director and documents how day-to-day business is conducted in accordance with the Bylaws and Policy Manual. The last major update occurred in 2024.

This document was developed by the WFC Board & stakeholders to create a roadmap for association growth and improvement through 2029.
