QUESTIONS ABOUT THE COURSE?
This in-person four-day course will instruct students on the basic duties and responsibilities of a Fire and Life Safety Educator Level 1. This course will prepare students for the written exam and practical evaluations for the IFSAC Fire and Life Safety Educator 1 certification. Students will be trained in selection of educational materials specifically designed for target audiences to reduce risk in their communities. They will demonstrate their ability to coordinate and deliver community fire and injury prevention programs through multiple presentation methods. The course will also teach students how to evaluate and document the effectiveness of each educational program through written reports. A written test will take place on the 4th day of the class and students will be expected to pass with a score of 70% or higher.
