Jordyn Craig, Support Services Manager, Lacey Fire District 3
In this presentation the leadership of LFD’s Support Services Division will be talking about the significant but often overlooked issue related to the health and wellness of our emergency responders—the improper use of 911. Director Chris Gorman and Program Manager Jordyn Craig will engage participants in four key areas. First, we will briefly share our story concerning the importance of mitigating the improper use of 911. Second, we will interact with some of the latest data concerning the improper use of 911. Third, we will talk about the impact of the improper use of 911 on responders’ mental health and job satisfaction. Fourth, we will share some practical ways to mitigate this improper use of 911 in partnership with other community stakeholders.
