The I-COM Board is seeking an innovative and experienced public safety communications professional who possesses a progressive management style and excellent communication skills. The candidate will have the ability to work effectively with elected and appointed officials, as well as the general public. This person will set a positive example as an advocate for I-COM with a focus on responsiveness to member agencies by maintaining positive and effective interjurisdictional working relationships. The ideal candidate will bring a successful work history in 911 executive management and will have experience in developing an effective and high functioning team that supports one another and provides a positive work atmosphere.

Bachelor degree in business or public or business administration, communications, or a closely related field and ten (10) years of progressively responsible professional-level experience in public-safety communications, including five (5) years of administrative and managerial responsibilities; or any equivalent combination of experience and education that provides the applicant with the desired skills, knowledge, and ability required to perform the work Additional Desired Qualifications Include: Recognized leadership certifications such as attainment of the APCO (Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials International), Certified Public Safety Executive (CPE) designation, or the Registered Public-Safety Leader (RPL) designation and ongoing recertification.
