Fire Chief
Redmond Fire & Rescue (RFR) is seeking a Fire Chief to lead this growing district located in the high desert of Central Oregon about three hours southeast of Portland and 30 minutes north of Bend. The District provides EMS, fire, and rescue services to an estimated population of 50,000 total residents: about 38,000 within the City of Redmond and 17,000 in the surrounding unincorporated areas.
RFR is an all-hazards public safety organization that provides traditional fire protection, wildland firefighting, and first response and medical transport services at both the Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support levels. RFR also provides aircraft rescue and firefighting services to the Redmond Municipal Airport. In 2022 RFR responded to over 7,100 calls for service.
