Bio: Chief Jeff Faucett was promoted to Fire Chief at South Kitsap Fire and Rescue on July 1, 2020. He has served the South Kitsap Community since 1992 where he started as a volunteer firefighter. He was hired in 1998 as a career firefighter and progressed through the ranks in the agency until he became Chief of the Department.
Chief Faucett has been a member of the Washington Fire Chiefs since 2014. During this time, he has served on the WSRB sub-committee and the Legislative Committee. He became the chair of the Legislative Committee in 2021. He is also the Legislative Chair for the Kitsap County Fire Chiefs, the Chair of the Kitsap County EMS Council, and the Vice-Chair of the Kitsap Joint Management Group. Chief Faucett is active in the South Kitsap Community where he served as the President of Leadership Kitsap in 2019-2020. He is a current member of the Port Orchard Rotary.
Chief Faucett has an Associate’s Degree in Fire Science, a Bachelors of Fire Administration, and a Master’s Degree in Management and Leadership. He has completed the distinguished National Fire Academy’s Executive Fire Officer Program. Chief Faucett has been awarded the esteemed Chief Fire Officer Designation for the Commission on Public Safety Excellence in 2016, 2019 and 2022.
Chief Faucett and his wife, Fawnda, live in Manchester. They have three kids, Rylan & Kaitlyn (WA), Miranda (CA), and Aubrey (TX). The Faucett’s love spoiling their granddaughters, Emmie and Rowyn! In their free time they enjoy traveling, rounds of golf, sporting events, concerts, and spending time with family and friends.
